Near Ko Hong we are often approached by local fishermen offering to sell prawns (and sometimes fish or cuttlefish). Their initial asking price is usually far above the market price in Krabi, but they expect to barter. Bartering can be fun, and old t-shirts, cigarettes and other items can be included in the trade. We have never gotten a really good deal in the final price but the prawns are fresh and delicious.
